A Question for the UK?
When reading news stories from across the pond, we see constant reference to the phrase “cannabis factory”. The news reports almost always read something to the effect that the police have closed xx number of factories in the last 12 or 18 months, and they closed another today . . .
In Canada they’d be referred to as “grow-ops”. Â The US media seems to enjoy using a somewhat wider variety of adjectives, often referring to something along the lines of “sophisticated marijuana production facilities”, as though a pot gardener is doing something really different than a orchid enthusiast.
With that in mind, we do have a question . . . In the end, it’s not a terribly important question, but it is one more symptom of the way public perception can be slanted by HOW the news is reported, rather than what is actually reported in the news.
So we are wondering, in all seriousness, do the Brits refer to a greenhouse full of tomatoes as a ‘mater factory ???
How about lettuce? ![]()
