Guide to Earth Juice Grow
EARTH JUICE GROW - 2-1-1
We consider this product to be the “jack of all trades” among the Earth Juice products. We use more EJ Grow than any of their other products, because it is so useful and versatile. EJ Grow is useful throughout all of a plant’s vegetative growth stage, and we usually continue to use it for the first couple weeks of flowering as well.
Here’s Earth Juice’s own description of EJ Grow:
GROW: Nitrogen formulation for vigorous green growth. It may also be used as a Superior General Purpose Fertilizer that will provide vigorous growth and outstanding production of flowers, vegetables and fruit. It is the Best Choice for those who prefer to use a single formula. Approved by Organic Materials Review Institute (O.M.R.I.) for organic crop production.
Earth Juice fertilizers deliver a pretty good mix of organic goodies that will well satisfy all of a plant’s needs. Here are the ingredients found in EJ Grow:
bat guano
kelp
sulfate of potash
feather meal
oat bran
blood meal
steamed bone meal
Depending on a plant’s growth stage and we use the EJ Grow at concentrations of anywhere from 1 TBSP to 2 TBSP per gallon (and we have pushed it to 3 to 4 TBSP without harm for very heavy feeders.)
We’re also big fans of EJ Bloom, and we have used it very regularly as well, but as the ad wizards at EJ point out, if you were to want to use just one single EJ product, this one would be the first choice.
Earth Juice Grow has a slight odor, although it’s not anything we find terribly offensive, certainly it’s not as bad as using most fish based fertilizers. EJ Grow “pours” out of the bottle with the consistency of a thick milk shake, and it’s got a mud like dark grey colour that’s not exactly eye appealing to humans. For plants however, all those organic goodies fill their hunger quite nicely.
